Job Description

Ideal Candidates:

Have experience with sheet metal and welding techniques and methods.

Possess comprehensive demonstrable knowledge of MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and aluminum.

Can analyze moderately complex engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.

Have excellent mechanical ability.

Are experienced in fabricating processes.

Can develop templates and other work aids to hold and align parts.

Have forklift driving experience.

Are detail oriented.

Have experience working in a manufacturing or similar-type environment.

Are willing to learn and grow their skillset.

Take pride in the work that they do and the quality of their work.

Have good communication skills.

Will assist with other duties as assigned in production.

Will maintain a clean and well-organized work area.

Will Comply with Safety and PPE requirements.

Are seeking long-term employment.

Have reliable transportation.

Required Proficiencies:

High School Education with Vo-Tech or Technical School background or equivalent.

2 years minimum of related welding experience.

Perform a series of progressive welding operations to drawing tolerances and specifications.

Capable of fitting and welding per print independently with minimal supervision.

Responsible for maintaining the integrity of welding equipment, fixtures, and tooling.

Able to accommodate frequent walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Ability to work as a member of a team.

Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.

Note, when taking your weld test onsite, please bring your own Personal Protective Equipment, including your welding jacket and helmet, for the welding test. We do a MIG welding test, and the weld test consists of flat, step, vertical and pipe welds. Aluminum welding experience is a plus. You will also be given a ruler test.
