Talent Acquisition Director - MANUFACTURING

Position Description:

The Talent Acquisition Director has responsibility for the strategy and initiatives developed and used to identify and acquire top talent for all levels in the manufacturing organization. This position will lead change efforts and evolve the organizational culture into an employer of choice talent acquisition program through innovation, technology, best in class practices, branding and development of a top-notch talent acquisition team.

Responsibilities:

Provide strategic direction and staffing/sourcing expertise, and develop and manage recruiting initiatives, policies, practices, and activities to acquire the best talent available.

Build and define the hiring process, establish department and recruiter metrics/scorecards, and build robust reporting capability that allows the team to diagnose and solve challenges.

Develop and lead a high-performing recruitment team (4-8 recruiters â direct line) and on-site plant recruiters (dotted line) to fill openings with top talent while consistently exceeding hiring goals and metrics for all positions, even those deemed “hard to fill.”

Develop and drive company talent acquisition strategy, Employee Value Proposition, and the corporate brand and associated materials/messaging for internal associates and external customers; tracking success and enhancing/adjusting as needed. Using social media to drive increased numbers of recruits and to communicate our brand and message.

Utilize sound methodology to define existing and needed processes; determine efficiencies and how to integrate best practices and technology.

Develop recruiting strategies and programs to ensure an ongoing pipeline of top talent to fill positions at all levels in the organization.

Analyze trends and metrics to understand business needs and for ongoing benchmarking and review.

Provide direction to and expand acquisition programs for corporate headquarters and manufacturing sites in all areas of recruiting, including full-time, intern, college recruiting, internal transfers, veteran hiring, social media, sourcing and pre-employment processes.

Oversee the entire pre-employment process, ensuring that all candidates meet our quality, background, and integrity standards.

Manage and oversee all aspects of the candidate experience to ensure that candidates are treated with the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

Take a lead role in the management and maintenance of Workday ATS.

Identify and negotiate contracts with external recruiting, technology, and vendors that support the pre-employment process.

Align the strategic direction of the recruiting function and performance to the talent agenda of the company.

Build pro-active connections to talent communities to establish pipelines of talent for near and future talent needs.

Be a trusted and valued partner to senior operations and support leaders as well as the entire human resources function.

Direct the company internship program, including design, candidate selection, placement, evaluation, and metrics.

Utilize data reporting to manage department performance and meet customersâ needs.

Deliver results effectively and efficiently.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelors in Human Resources Management or related field or equivalent experiences; Masterâ s degree preferred.

At least 5 years of experience leading a successful, high volume recruiting team.

Ability to drive change and progress the Recruiting function from tactical to strategic.

Demonstrated leadership of high performing teams of recruiters and coordinators, both direct and indirect.

Proven experience designing effective recruiting strategies and using best practices to source, attract, screen, and select quality candidates.

Proven experience building and growing a successful recruiting team.

Design and implementation of successful recruitment branding campaigns with measurable, high impact results.

Demonstrated experience networking and building lasting relationships with individuals inside and outside of the organization.

Experience using Workday.

Proven background developing and presenting meaningful metrics.

Experience in design, development, and implementation of successful internship and feeder programs.

Experience with developing and aligning talent plans with strategic and business plans.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with solid group presentation and facilitation skills.

Experience in a manufacturing environment.
