Job Description
A growing and innovative multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add a Traffic Project Engineer to their Columbus team!
Responsibilities:
Provide traffic engineering design for a variety of LPA, DOT, and private clients
Produce/review traffic impact studies, safety studies, and traffic forecasting
Establish guidelines for cost estimates
Review/approve cost estimates prepared by others
Project Manager duties as needed
Serve as subject matter expert
Assure project understanding, approach, and technology fully addresses client, regulatory, and best practices technical issues.
Independently develop projects
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
7+ years of Traffic Engineering experience
Ohio PE License
P.T.O.E. preferred
Road Safety Professional preferred
Experience with MicroStation/Geopak/OpenRoads and/or AutoCad/Civil 3D
Experience using other design-related software (SignCad, AutoTurn, HCS, Synchro/Simtraffic, VISSIM, TransModeler, SIDRA, Rodel)
Travel demand modeling preferred
Basic/advanced GIS capabilities preferred
Knowledge of MUTCD policies/procedures
Salary is commensurate with experience.
