Could you be the full-time Reliability Growth Engineer in Astana we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Reliability Growth Manager Azamat Utekeyev, and work alongside passionate and inquisitive teammates.

You'll monitor technical issues with locomtives and their components. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Operations, Procurement, Engineering etc.), conduct root cause analysis and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of investigating loco/components failures, but also propose technical solutions.

We’ll look to you for:

Analysis of the Reliability estimation by components and systems of the locomotive;

Monitoring of the technical issues and mitigation actions;

Identify and validate root-cause of loco/components failures;

Implementation and follow-up containment and final technical solution;

Collaboration with HealthHub team in proactive process and failures analysis;

Ability to read/analyze electrical schemes, especially low voltage;

Deep understanding of TCMS, variables description, logic of locomotive;

Understanding of error/failure codes; diagnosing faulty equipment by reviewing TCMS data;

Ability to propose improvement of locomotive TCMS;

Advanced user of TrainTracer (go to train to check events, install, download traces);

Ability to create traces and analyze results;

Support field tests (and you know what it means: long hours);

Perform measures on train when necessary (traces or physical extra instrumentation);

Solving technical issues, including works on loco;

Supporting business case for retrofit campaign;

Participating to approval of suppliers of parts with quality and supply chain;

Participating on the mitigation action plans regarding SAF.

Coordination of activities on the service project:

Applying of the service experience and feedback to the operation team;

Analysing, optimising and approving design aspects in connection with the modification of the structure (repair level, maintainability, testability, etc.);

Coordination of activities in the Depot :

Initialisation or mobilization phase: Support of the technical team in correct completion of the data.

Execution phase: Monitoring of the reliability of systems and components; Make risk analysis for system or components with low reliability; support the operation team in training and acquiring new skills; support to technical documentation engineer to edit and modify the working instructions; work on loco if necessary

Monitoring the technical condition of trains and reflecting these data in the project monthly and technical reports;

Participation on the improvement of traceability and quality of the data provided by operation on the field;

Applying the professional competence in solving of the problems;

Conducting training in order to improve the knowledge of the staff (skills matrix).
