Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

Clear Staff is helping a client in the Bensenville area for a temp to hire position for Mechanical Assembler.

2nd Shift 2pm -10:30pm

Summary: This position is responsible for the assembly of low and medium voltage electrical switchgear cabinets for the manufacture of products to satisfy customer orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Interpret assembly and elevation drawings

Construct modular steel cabinets and copper buss assemblies

Read tape measure

Experience using manual hand tools (wrench, screwdriver, pliers)

Experience with power tools (drill, impact, pneumatic torque wrench)

Team player, able to work within a team environment

Ability to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service

Operate a forklift, with proper training

Ensure proper protective equipment is worn at all times and tools other equipment are properly used base on the task

Follow control document procedures

Regular in-person attendance is an essential function of this job

Requirements:

Have a high school diploma/GED

Must pass Background

Must pass Drug Test

Blue print reading required

50lbs lifting
