The Golf shop staff is a 8–9 month seasonal position and candidates are expected to work a minimum of 4 days per week with at least one weekend day. Additional hours may be required during tournament weeks. Members of our golf shop staff must have an adequate knowledge of the game of golf as well as previous retail experience. All golf shop employees must also value being part of a strong team-oriented culture. Candidates with ideal experience and credentials may be considered for a potential Golf Shop Manager position.

Responsibilities

Work directly with the Head Professional, Assistant Professionals, and staff in all aspects of the golf and retail operation.

A strong leader with effective communication skills and a customer-centric mindset.

Must be organized, adaptable and capable of making informed decisions.

Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and create a positive retail experience.

Answer phones, assist with tee times and handle opening and closing procedures in compliance with the Club’s policies and procedures.

Assist the Golf Professional Staff with the Golf Shop’s visual appeal. Ensure the layout is attractive to encourage customer engagement and sales.

Address challenges promptly, makes decisions to resolve issues and helps improve operations.

Skills

Strong computer skills (Lightspeed Club Software, Golf Genius, Microsoft Word/Excel)

Working conditions

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift items over 20lbs, hear and speak clearly.

March 1, 2024; the start date is flexible.

Compensation

$15.00-$17.00/hour
