Purpose and role of job:

Indirect Buyer III – Under limited supervision performs more specialized and complex procurement duties including analytics, data comparisons and supplier selection. Works collaboratively across sites. Recommends and implements a higher level of cost reductions.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

Adheres to all Safe Work Practices (SWP) and organizational policies and procedures. Must abide by all safety requirements and attain safety goals.

Seeks and partners with reliable suppliers, solving questions and confirming expected deliverables, while resolving any delivery, payment, price discrepancies and quality related concerns.

Performs verification and accuracy of requisitions being processed, per established policies, and assist with preparation of requisitions and E-req summaries as requested. Place Purchase orders upon approvals.

Makes substitutions as possible, while maintaining necessary quality, collaborating with requesters of any deviations to confirm acceptance.

Creates Request for Information (RFI) and Request for quotation (RFQ) for various parts and services while incorporating analytics for comparison purposes. Awards business as approved.

Super-user for all new technology impacting the procurement function providing team training and expertise across site location.

Drives Value Creation and Strategic Procurement, aligning with business goals and objectives.

Develops processes that contribute to a more efficient Supply Chain, working with Spare parts Teams on reorder and Inventory quantities based on supplier lead-times and criticality of part, for production.

Requires High level cost savings implementation for FTG both on spot buys and strategic plant initiatives.

Works cross functionally with other departments and sites to gain standardization and purchasing leverage analyzing total spend criteria.

Reviews contracts to ensure payment terms, length of agreement and procurement content are in the best interest of FQ.

Travels to other FQ locations as required.

Education and experience requirements:

BA/BS in Supply Chain or related field or related work experience

Strong MS Office Suite skills to include: Excel, Word, Power Point, along with knowledge of SAP Ariba, Celonis, and QlikView.

Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment; having knowledge of MRO related parts and services.

Must be an effective communicator, both written and orally, along with having a strong reasoning mindset.

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities; being able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Must be able to multi-task and meet timelines with a strong focus on detailed organization and execution.

Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the organization, including the ability to present recommendations, while being influential when required.

Some training skills for new hires as it pertains to systems and procurement processes.

Work Environment:

Hybrid work schedule with two days on-site at designated manufacturing facility. Modifications to this schedule are possible to align with business goals. Would work from our McElhattan location.
