Job Description

-Sanford Federal DBA FAR GROUP is looking for a responsible and experienced partner to provide part-time Stationary Steam Engineer Services on-site by the specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Ohio Veterans Homes.

Place of performance:

-Ohio Veterans Homes 3416 Columbus Ave Sandusky, OH 44870

Responsibilities and Duties:

-Candidates shall operate, maintain, adjust, repair & observe the operation of powerhouse equipment (e.g., boilers, turbines, blowers, flow meters, various pumps, feed water heaters, generators, fans, fan motors, air compressors, pollution control equipment).

-Candidates shall make rounds of a powerhouse (e.g., read numerous gauges & regulators; check power consumption meters & switches; starts, synchronizes, switches & stops generators or turbines as needed; checks equipment for proper functioning).

-Candidates shall perform steam fitting & plumbing duties as related to boiler maintenance; assist with major repairs; assist in preparing powerhouse equipment for inspection; clean powerhouse & all equipment as needed.

-Keeps powerhouse log recording gauge readings, power generated, maintenance work performed & all other related records; performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Candidates must possess a current High-Pressure boiler operator's license or Stationary Steam

Engineer License from the State of Ohio.

Appropriate Work Attire:

-Appropriate work attire encompasses, but is not limited to:

-Closed-toed / non-skid shoes.

-Footwear such as thong-type sandals, flip-flops, or sandals are strictly prohibited.
