Vice President of Operations – Paint Manufacturing – Base Salary to 170k/year – Detroit, MI

Our client, a leading industrial paints and coatings manufacturer, is seeking a Vice President of Operations to oversee Manufacturing Operations and drive Operational Excellence.

In this role, the Vice President of Operations will manage teams across various departments while helping to establish operational standards for Quality, Safety, and Customer Satisfaction. The ideal candidates will have a background in paint/chemical manufacturing and will possess a ‘hands-on’ leadership mentality.

Responsibilities:

Ensure Production Processes are meeting Production Goals, Quality Standards, and Customer Demand

Develop Procurement Strategies to Optimize Supply Chain Efficiency and Cost Effectiveness

Drive Product Development Initiatives, leveraging expertise in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering to Improve Product Quality

Assum P&L responsibility for the facility

Report directly to the President and collaborate with executive team

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree, Preferably in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Related Field

5+ years in Paint Development or Production

Robust understanding of Manufacturing Processes and Technologies

Previous P&L responsibility

Complex Problem-Solving Skills

Servant Leadership and Team Development Experience

Must have a “hands-on” attitude

Compensation for this role includes a base salary up to 170k/year plus a discretionary bonus. Company also offers 401k with a match, top health benefits, and full relocation package.
