RDP Foodservice of Hilliard, OH is looking to hire a skilled, proficient Facility Maintenance Technician to maintain the facility, grounds, systems, and equipment. Performs intermediate tasks related to day-to-day inspections and preventative maintenance.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

A Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for the operation, repair and preventative maintenance of the building facility, grounds, and works with outside contractors on facility and equipment repairs. Performs work in more than one of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC. Performs office facility maintenance duties such as furniture moving, reconfigurations, employee moves, painting, and carpentry. Minimizes unplanned downtime through the effective implementation of routine and preventative maintenance and ensures a safe and functional environment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma and/or GED; or equivalent technical degree or certificate in skilled trades/maintenance related field.

Prefer some technical training in electrical, plumbing, HVAC and/or other building trades.

5-10 years of working experience in facilities maintenance. Experience working in a distribution warehouse a plus.

Valid OSHA 30-hour General Industry Safety and Health card

Solid foundation in superior safety and quality practices

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer service oriented

Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task

Physical Requirements: Ability to push/lift 75 pounds and ability to climb ladders; bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require

Environmental Conditions: Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment when necessary to address maintenance in the cooler and freezer

WORK SCHEDULE

This position will report to work Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm. There are times of extended hours, and some weekends.
