Accounts & Audit - Team Lead

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform day-to-day management of financial accounts.

• Examines assigned financial records and statements for accuracy.

• Analyzes financial data, making recommendations as appropriate to improve accuracy, efficiency,

and to reduce costs.

• Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information.

• Ensure financial transactions are performed in compliance with company policies.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial management reports and statements.

• Ensure accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.

• Inspects the budget and general ledger for assigned departments and accounts, ensuring

that funds are available, and expenditures are assigned correctly.

• Reviews and/or assists with preparation of financial statements and records provided to

federal, state, and internal auditors and similar personnel.

• As needed, assists with accounting duties for and corrections to listed financial records.

• As appropriate, identifies and recommends updates to accounting systems and procedures.

• Assists as needed with preparation of annual financial reports.

• Perform reconciliation for various client accounts.

• Address and resolve customer queries in a timely and accurate manner.

• Coordinate internal audit process with Auditors and conduct cost recovery audit.

• Perform accounting functions such as revenue and asset accounting, payroll, and cost

analysis.

• Update accounting systems in line with latest computer technology.

• Develop solutions to resolve accounting discrepancies and other financial

problems/issues.

• Assist budgeting process and budget preparation.

• Provide continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities.

• Supervise and manage operations accounting team.

• Liaison with other departments.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.

• ACCA or CA qualification required.

• At least 10 years of related experience required.

• Upstream Oil & Gas experience is preferred.

• Working in Iraq/international experience is preferred
