Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities ofstaff who prepare, portion and serve food

Establish work schedules and procedures
Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safetyprocedures
Supervise and check assembly of regular and specialdiet trays and delivery of food trolleys to hospitalpatients
Ensure that food and service meet quality controlstandards
May participate in the selection of food service staffand assist in the development of policies, proceduresand budgets
May plan cafeteria menus and determine related foodand labour costs.
