Job Description:
Security Alarm Technician About the Job Job Purpose: To establish World Class Service to our customers, as Professional, Respectful, and Responsible Service Technicians.
Equipment used: • We primarily use GE equipment, most noticeably the Simon XT panel as well as the Concord. We also carry Honeywell equipment, primarily the Lynx/Vista systems Duties: • Checking schedules (which will be set by a corporate coordinator and yourself) daily, organizing materials, completing jobs in a timely fashion. • Planning New Installations by surveying and evaluating the location; identifying alarm installation requirements, and laying-out equipment. • To neatly and professionally install equipment in the customers home. You will be running and pulling wiring, programming and calibrating equipment, while adhering to codes, regulations, and standards. Most our equipment is wireless. • To verify the system functioning by testing equipment, connections, and signals; identifying and correcting problems, incessantly. • Maintain records by documenting installation. You will be responsible for completing and submitting all paperwork including; Service reports, hour trackers, and new installation paperwork. • Maintain customer rapport by resolving concerns; answering questions. • Maintain safe and secure work environment by following safe practices; keeping security information confidential. • Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. • Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. • Tech will be responsible for servicing accounts within 150 mile radius of home. Skills/Qualifications: Impeccable customer service skills. College education is a plus but not needed. Previous Security Alarm Installation also a plus, but we are willing to train the best person.
Job Requires: Cell Phone, computer with internet access, scanner and/or fax machine and a reliable vehicle. You will be reimbursed partial cell phone and internet cost as well as full cost of tolls incurred monthly. Clean driving record Clean criminal history (must be able to obtain a license in the state)
Pay: Technicians have the opportunity to progress to three different Tier Pay scales with time and experience. New Employees will be paid $10 an hour while training. After completion of training program employees will be paid as follows: Tier One- $20 per service call $50 per New Install $50 cell phone/$50 Internet Reimbursement ($100 per month) Mileage- 51 Cents per mile driven. (one way) Return mileage paid on jobs over 100 miles away Eligible for bonus’ each trimester (4 months) based off of presented goals and progress
