Job Description:
The System Engineer establishes the technical and functional solution to a business need, from assessing the feasibility of a solution and evaluating products through to designing solutions and providing technical assurance for third party solutions. The role also ensures that the subsequent detailed design remains in line with the chosen solution and that the solution delivers value. The role will apply technical knowledge and experience to support business/project team in augmenting/enhancing drug discovery, development and commercialization processes. The role will provide technical direction to system development and integration projects, within the solution development lifecycle. The role will be accountable for solution evaluation and selection, buy vs. build decisions, and early-phase project estimates which contribute to the business case. This role will be responsible for supporting assigned business process chain even after projects are live and/or specific technical competency. The System Engineer will partner with project managers, business analysts, and other supporting groups to create solutions.
