*Job Description: *
The Senior Flash-Flex Application Developer will be responsible for the
design, development, and support of emphasis on the unified media player.
They will report to the Director, Conditional Access Engineering from an HR
perspective, but will work closely with the Senior Director of IP Streaming
Systems Engineering, and Technical Lead of Streaming Media Services.
Duties and Responsibilities & Technical Skills:
- Ability to build interactive and dynamic flash-based applications
- Proficient programmer using ActionScript 3.0, Flash CS3/CS4, AJAX and
Flex 3+
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver
- Experience programming with JavaScript, XML, and with HTML/CSS and
Web 2.0
- Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile SDLC process
- Knowledge of Flex frameworks like Cairngorm
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Must be outgoing, highly organized and maintains a professional
demeanor at all times
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in dynamic and fluid project team structure
- Deep understanding of user centric, user experience design
- Ability to work on multiple complex tasks that come together under
one deadline
- Knowledge of Java-based front-end and back-end web development
technologies and concepts.
- Strong design and implementation skills pertaining to web
applications, and rich media applications..
- Document all technical design, code, build and release procedures.
- Work directly with the Business, PMO, Development, QA and IT Ops on
all phases of SDLC.
- Knowledge of industry-standard application architectures, design
patterns and technology standards and best practices
- Experience in designing and developing highly scalable and
maintainable rich internet applications
- Ability to learn and stay up to date on new technologies and trends
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and reliably deliver work of
the highest standards on time
- Handle 3rd tier support, where business consultation and development
maybe required
- Akamai Live Streaming, CDN, and EdgeComputing platforms experience
preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of experience with Flash-Flex development
