Overview of Position’s Responsibilities
Include staff and budget management scope
Provide application support for the Chargeback System
Duties include but are not limited to basic systems support efforts
(analysis, design, program, implement, and enhance billing programs) for
Chargeback System . This system is concentrated in batch *Mainframe
SAS*programs and databases.
The Chargeback System system consists of interfaces to many data base
systems for sourcing billing collection, and for the processing of billing
data to destination interfaces, such as Owners/Franchise Billing, Mosaic,
General Ledger, and reporting databases.
Work with clients and staff members to redesign existing systems for
renewed effectiveness, simplification, and standardization.
Customers, Partners, Vendors
(Identify the business groups, internal IR teams, and/or vendors and
individuals within those groups with whom the associate will interact on a
regular basis)
Clients:
- IR Service owners, i.e., email, data storage, PC support, telephone,
and funding of critical operating such as reservations, payroll, and human
resources.
Customers:
- All Marriott International departments.
Partners:
- IR Shared Services, IR Application Services, MBS.
Measurements of Success

1. New systems and redesigned systems are developed, thoroughly
tested and implemented following IR’s application development standards and
methodology.
2. Systems work is performed in a timely manner with enhancement
projects and production support projects being done concurrently.
3. Frequent peer reviews are conducted to ensure that system design
and functionality are understood and approved by peers.
Specific Responsibilities

3. System enhancement and break/fix activities (issue analysis,
troubleshooting and resolution)
4. Operational support for billing programs and ad-hoc reports
5. Month-end On-Call for Production Support on a rotating basis.

Specific Skills Required
1. Mainframe – MVS, TSO, ISPF, JCL.
2. Application language – SAS; varied experience desired.
3. Microsoft Office product, especially Excel knowledge.
4. Excellent Communication Skills (oral and written)
