Senior Vice President New Business Development (Nov. 2008-Mar.2009)


Challenged to identify and acquire businesses, or establish joint ventures that would broaden Anchor’s offering in the food service and big box retail segment.


Led Joint Venture with Stolzle integrating the premium German stemware line into Anchor’s foodservice segment. Transferred sales for this segment of $4 million and added 100 sku’s in 4 months.

Purchased and integrated Alco Home Products Division. Led the integration of this $40 million 100% imported house ware business. Streamlined product line and customer base to match Anchor’s existing core business. Streamlined supply base reducing inventory by $1 million in 4 months.

Anchor Hocking - Lancaster, OH
Senior Vice President Operations (June 2007-Oct.2008)

Recruited to this $270 million manufacturer and importer of glassware. Challenged to implement lean practices, reduce inventory, improve on time delivery, reduce equipment downtime, and improve labor management relations at 2 facilities with 1,400 unionized and 200 salaried employees.

Led integration of competitor’s $90 million business into Anchor’s two facilities in 4 months. Reduced headcount by 150 employees saving $3.5 million while maintaining all other metrics.

Managed implementation of lean practices across the organization while improving relations with the union. Reduced headcount in the DC and main factories saving over $7 million annually in labor costs.

Developed S&OP process and over 1 year reduced inventory from $76 to $65 million.

Rationalization of supply chain created $6 million in savings on $65 million spend in 9 months.

COO (May 2006-April 2007)

Recruited to this $360 million manufacturer of material handling systems to improve operating results through the evaluation of the 7 plant footprint in the US and Mexico.

Led closure of facility in Nuevo Laredo and integrated it into remaining facilities in 3 months saving $2 million in labor and overhead.

Managed buying strategy for steel reducing inventory from $42 to $24 million in 6 months.

Created Asian sourcing strategy increasing off shoring of high labor low tech items and centralized purchasing decisions from plant level, saving $4.7 million annually.

BLD/Sloan Transportation Products – Holland, MI
