PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

2006-2008 - Mechanical Engineer, Gribetz International, Sunrise, Florida
• Designed new assemblies for 130” wide digital printer, taking into account cost, availability of materials, strength and maintenance requirements, appearance and performance. Responsible for the entire redesign, fabrication and implementation of this new equipment under ISO 9001 quality standards. Conducted root cause analyses investigation and developed alternative solutions.
• Worked with a team of R&D electrical engineers and designed a carrier for state-of-the-art digital print heads, using Solid Works 2008 within sub-thousandths GD&T.

2000-2005 - Mechanical Designer, G.B.I. Data and Sorting, Deerfield, Florida
• Created detailed designs and layout drawings, D.C.N., E.C.R., B.O.M. to support the fabrication of high-speed loaders and tilting sorters.
• Reduced manufacturing costs by approximately 18% through in-house fabrication of more than 20% of prototype subassemblies for R&D. Finalized the design of the diverter and singulator for a hanging garment sorter. Estimated production time and related cost.

1998-2000 - Mechanical Engineer, Advance Dial Co., Boca Raton, Florida
• Designed and assisted in manufacturing of end-of-arms for plastic injection mold press.
• Designed a press elevator with optic sensor to increase productivity.
• Worked in R&D on an automated assembly fixture for plastic injection molds for various Motorola products.

1985-1998 - Principal Mechanical Engineer & Logistics Manager, I.U.G.C., Bucharest, Romania
• Designed a new production line to rebuild engines using analytical design methods. Initiated classes for operators and instructed them on operation and troubleshooting of new heavy units from the UK, USA, and Japan.
