SUMMARY: Monitors and checks daily productions to insure compliance with set product specifications.
DUTIES: Collects line samples on an hourly basis for routine micro, analytical testing and retention. Conducts routine analysis and logs results. Inspects caps, labels, date codes, shelf life, and performs tests on incoming ingredients. Conducts daily instruments up-keep and standardization / calibration. Prepares and logs samples for co-packers. Files daily production and QC log sheets. Keeps track and logs products showroom. Controls and maintains the product showroom. 60% lab testing and 40% production floor testing. Updates and modifies product specifications.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen. Must have High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions and procedures. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations using a calculator. Good communication skills - bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Basic computer skills required. Employee must have Safety Footwear (closed, skid resistant).
MISC: Work hours: 6am to 230pm. Salary: $12.00 / hour with performance review at 90 days to $12.50. Benefits: 100% paid medical & dental for employee, vacation, holidays, sick leave. Safety Equipment provided by company: Lab Coats, Hearing Protection, Safety eye protector and acid resistant gloves when needed. Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours minimum. Ability to routinely lift and carry products samples up to 30 lbs. Medically fit to handle minor exposures to strong and diluted chemical solutions.
