Job Description:
We are currently seeking an individual with an outstanding business ethic and sense of responsibility to complete long term research work in the following South Carolina counties:
Allendale
Bamberg
Colleton
Dillon
Edgefield
Fairfield
Florence
Greenville
Hampton
Marlboro
McCormick
Pickens
Saluda
Spartanburg
The ideal candidate will be self motivated, detail oriented, organized, and able to maintain own schedule without direct supervision. This is a 1099 (independent contractor) position in which the researcher will work from their own home/office.
Researcher will visit County offices on set schedule, and collect specific information from public documents. The information will then be entered into a preformatted spreadsheet or company provided software. All training for collection, recording, and submittal is provided following acceptance of application process.
Pay is per record submitted, with direct deposits made every two weeks.
Requirements:
**Desktop Computer and/or Laptop (Notebook) Computer (Laptop preferred, but not required).
**Computer Literate - know your way around.
**Have MS Office Word and Excel (or 3rd party compatible software - such as Open Office, etc)
and familiar with editing both word and spreadsheet type documents.
**Have reliable Internet Access and Email Account - familiar with sending and receiving attachments via email.
**Available to work during courthouse hours of operation (typically Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4:30pm) -
flexible days and time during these hours.
**Able to work independent without supervision, organized and goal oriented to meet deadlines.
**Have reliable mode of transportation and child care services (if applicable).
**Able to follow detailed instructions, have an "eye for detail", solid proofing skills and a will of determination.
