Job Description:
Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst - IB Test Lead
Job Number: DYY6727

Salary Rate Range: DOE $35-45/hr
Regular Hours: 40 / Week
Duration: 6 Month
QA tester / IB Test Lead
• QA testing, writing test cases, building test data, and troubleshooting defects.
• Streamline testing and determine appropriate positive and negative test cases and desired results.
• Assist developers with troubleshooting and assist other testers on critical deliverables.
• Perform a wide range of technical activities in support of message oriented middleware (i.e. MQ-based solutions).
• Systems include IBM Message Broker v6.1, Websphere Message Broker and Mainframe MQ programs.
Requirements
• Perform Certification (QA) testing for MQ-based HL7 middleware solutions;
• Communicate effectively with the Development Leads, internal managers, business, project management and other IT teams to review project documentation and determine testing needs;
• Create Testing Dashboards to communicate project status and include metrics for continued process improvements;
• Use your testing experience to report & resolve defects in Quality Center.
• Work independently and work with your peers when guidance is required.
• Report open issues and ensure that sufficient documentation is available to solve technical problems;
• Provide Test Summary documentation to communicate risk assessments and provide input so that a recommendation on the quality of the system can be made by your management;
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Participate in internal design reviews
• Contribute to production readiness/hand-off review before go-live
• Minimum 5 years hands-on of experience in functional, system or integration testing.
• Proficient in testing MQ-oriented middleware solutions
• Strong problem solving, analytical skills in testing, development and automation
• Ability to decompose documents to create test cases and scenarios for complex integrations
• Highly skilled in writing test documentation (plans, test cases, status report), executing test cases & identifying defects
• Experience with testing tools (ex. Mercury Quality Center)
• Black or white box testing experience
• Ensure Compliance with established methodologies
• Strong communications/interpersonal/ organizational skills a must.
• Self motivated, self-directed and independent thinking yet team player
• Proven ability to build strong partnerships with technical and business partners
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or another technical field
