What will your responsibilities be?
Optimization of allocated suppliers within Europe Metals
Execution and control of supplier development and proactive quality assurance activities at allocated suppliers
Represent the company and purchasing community in its relationships with external customers & suppliers
Support to ensure Supply Base Optimization (Reduction) of allocated suppliers in coordination with Direct Purchasing
Execute analysis of allocated Supplier PPSC (Potential Part Safety Concern) and allocated supplier MQR (Management Quality Review) level 2 data and implement corrective actions at concerned suppliers, if necessary together with the allocated Purchasing team members and the respective Quality team member.
Train allocated suppliers in ADIENT s supplier expectations in alignment with the Global Supplier Standard Manual required tools and processes
Promote 8D, Error Proofing methods, Kaizen, VA/VE and Six Sigma activities over allocated suppliers
Track supplier’s quality certification towards quality requirements (100% IATF 16949) and Process Auditing VDA6.3 of allocated suppliers. Track compliance to CSR (customer specific requirements) with technical audits as i.e. CQI different levels of allocated suppliers
Execution of Supplier Development proactive objectives as i.e. supplier feasibility audits at allocated suppliers
Work in compliance with ADIENT s global/corporate BOS procedures
Tasks mainly related to allocated suppliers:
Support in supplier evaluation of allocated suppliers
Execute supplier development activities of allocated suppliers based on supplier evaluation
Execute manufacturing process orientated audits at the allocated suppliers
Monitor and improve critical supplier performance (SPPM, program …) of allocated suppliers
Support in the overall MQR 2 escalation process concerning allocated suppliers to ensure
Closure within 90 days (Plant Quality Manager is "responsible" for MQR 1 and 2)
Be an "operational Lead" within SD for MQR2 where necessary with identified Suppliers
Support Purchasing in de-sourcing / re-sourcing projects
Support in managing suppliers crisis of identified suppliers based on level 2 with the plants
Drive Supplier PPSC of allocated suppliers for closure ("operational PPSC Lead") and review their problem solving activities for robust and sustainable solutions
Ensure during supplier’s visit that SC/CC process is running as part of ADIENT s s prevention process to deal and track critical parameters
Support in driving strategic initiatives into the plants and support ADIENT s LEM objectives
Support in providing activities and KPI’s reporting to the top management
Use and promote the ADIENT problem solving methods (8D Report, Problem Solving, KT...)
Support to ensure suppliers of allocated Commodities ADIENT sourced for direct production material are compliant to the ADIENT BOS and IATF16949 Quality Management Systems
Conduct Supplier Development Process improvement projects
Train, guide and support allocated key suppliers
Implements lessons learnt at allocated suppliers
Install best business practices at allocated suppliers
Participate in lessons learnt workshop with supplier’s plant or ADIENT to prevent Supplier PPSC
Support Supplier Expectation Days to train suppliers proactively for ADIENT s
Global Supplier Standard methodology
Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?
Min 5 years working experience in Quality (Production or dealing with Suppliers and / or customers)
Commodity specific experience.
10 years working experience in automotive industry
Process-focused and a team player.
Auditor cercificate (VDA6.3, ISO/TS 16949; ISO 14001; CQI, etc)
English - advanced
