Role: Senior Counsel - Litigation

Location: Hamilton, Bermuda

Salary: DOE

On behalf of our well-established client, Personnel 2000 are recruiting an experienced Senior Counsel Litigation, who will be responsible for providing legal services to clients of the litigation department.

Responsibilities:

· Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits or legal rights and obligations

· Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for individuals and businesses

· Draw up complex civil, corporate and litigation documents at all court levels

· Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation of cases

· Present and summarise cases to judges and juries

· Conduct legal and case research

· Train and mentor associate attorney / litigation secretaries as required

Skills and Experience:

· A first-class academic background and must be admitted as an attorney and a barrister in the supreme court of Bermuda

· Minimum of five years experience in Bermuda civil and commercial litigation

· Must be highly motivated and willing to learn

· Able to balance priorities and co ordinate work effectively in order to meet deadlines and deal with heavy workload

· Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times

· Good self-organisation and time management skills
